Implementation Engineer
Intent Media stands at the cross-roads of online advertising and e-commerce. We are solving long-standing problems facing online merchants and direct marketers by building a unique technology solution with many interesting challenges to overcome.
As we build out our engineering team in New York City, we are seeking an implementation engineer and pre-sales consultant with understanding of the online advertising and/or e-commerce industries, including ad servers, behavioral and contextual targeting, and analytics and reporting. The successful candidate will be a seasoned sales and/or implementation engineer with five years` experience in working with online publishers, ad networks, or e-commerce firms.
The implementation engineer has key responsibilities throughout the sales cycle and into the ongoing support of Intent Media`s e-commerce partners. During the sales process, the implementation engineer is responsible for managing product demonstrations, technical presentations, responding to RFP’s/RFI’s and supporting the overall business development effort. It is important to understand the company’s market position and to be conversant about the company, the competitive landscape, related technologies, and important industry developments.
Upon signed contract, the implementation engineer is responsible for coordinating the successful implementation of the Intent Media solution on the partner`s site. This includes the development of documentation, configuring systems for the delivery of feeds, working with the partner`s technical personnel to implement HTML and Javascript ad tags correctly, and testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve problems quickly.
Specific required skillsets include:
An understanding of online advertising, publisher-side ad serving (such as DART, ADTECH, Atlas, OAS, CheckM8, OpenX, Lightningcast, etc.) and related online publishing issues
Knowledge of CRM (such as Salesforce.com or SugarCRM) or contact management systems helpful
The following languages and technologies: HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, SQL, Linux/UNIX, FTP, HTTP, and popular front-end display technologies (Struts, Groovy, etc.)
Experience with Visio, Photoshop, the Microsoft Office suite, and other computer tools
Experience writing technical documentation
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Capable of working in a disciplined manner in a very relaxed atmosphere
Methodical and disciplined approach to problem solving
